Meet Benji. He is a 6-year-old 13.2hh Friesian Sport Horse Gelding. He has a unique chocolate color with a flaxen mane and tail. This guy is the sweetest thing you will meet, he adores people and you can catch him anywhere, anytime! Benji’s mother is a classical Haflinger mare and his sire is the stunning Flip F/T Friesian Connection. This is a unique cross that turned out to be truly exceptional. Benji has a kind and expressive eye on his adorable little face. His conformation is stocky, he is well muscled with a great top line, had solid bone structure, and great hooves. He has beautiful feathering on all 4 legs and a flaxen mane and tail to die for. Benji is one of the most tolerant horses I have worked with. He is extremely quiet, gentle, and eager to please his rider, be it an adult or a 5-year-old child. Benji will slowly walk around with the smallest riders but will move out for those with more experience. He has a quiet walk, a smooth yet floaty flat-kneed trot, and a balanced canter. He has a great self-carriage, collection, and cadence. He has near automatic flying lead changes. His transitions both upward and downward are effortless. He is jumping full courses and absolutely loves it. He jumps in tight and correct form and will jump anything you ask; tarps, brush, logs, straw, poles, flowers, and gates he will not look twice at anything. Benji holds a steady hunter pace around a course with little help from his rider. he will ride out in the cross-country fields or in the arena. This guy has also been trail ridden all over from Michigan to Iowa and loves a good trail ride. He has been ridden across some beautiful fox-hunting countryside and would make a stellar mount for anyone looking to Fox hunt or ride out on hunter paces. Benji has also been ridden western and works very well off seat and leg. He can side-pass and pivot like an old pro. He has carried everything from a flag, to a tarp, and even a hula hoop and this boy will not blink twice at anything you throw at him. He has even been ridden through loud construction sites and couldn’t care less. Overall he is a delightful guy who loves people and will excel in anything from hunters, to jumpers, to fox hunting, to dressage, or just pleasure riding.
