He is stunning looks, great demeanor and ability wrapped up in a punchy looking bay roan package. His primary career is as a heel horse, but he also excels on the ranch, on the trails and has been headed on some as well. Poncho is in the prime of his roping career. He is the kind of horse that adjusts well to his riders ability and can be roped on by any ability level of roper from a higher number on down to a lower number. He has been hauled lots of miles to jackpots as well as been shown on the heel side through AQHA and been to the AQHA world show. He has also been headed on some if you need something can be a switchender. He has no problems or quirks in the box or in the field. He is enjoyable to ride and rope on. The roping pen is not Poncho’s only area of expertise. He is also a great ranch gelding. Whether you are doing a full days work or going out for a leisurely trail ride, he is well equipped! He’s seen about as many miles on the ranch as he has going down the road to rope. He’s seasoned and experienced in every area and aspect of ranch work. He is reliable and dependable and will not get you in a bind. His miles on the ranch have given him the exposure and tools to be a great trail partner. He is familiar with all kinds of terrain, water crossings, jumping wild animals up out of the brush etc. He will ride out alone without hesitation or in a group. Poncho is an easy keeper.
